Is game #13 winnable? I'm having a terrible time with it. If it is winnable, any suggestions?

Posting a solution wouldn't help you, because as you know i use PGSME.

I just solved it right now anyway. BTW, where have you been? I was worried about you. I was happy today to see a post from you. Now, we just have to find out where Richard is.

Is #38 winnable? I've redone it twice and no luck so far.

Kathy, yes, it is winnable. For a solution or a partial solution you have wait for Richard or one of the others.

Thanks, Markus. Knowing it was winnable, I went back and tried again and finally won it.

Kathy, the first 1761 games are winnable.

I am already on record as saying that they are ALL winnable. I am possibly wrong but until someone can actually show me an unwinnable one I will stick to my guns. In eact I will go as far as to say that the vast majority are winnable in deal #1.

I agree with your opinion, that they are all winnable. The same i think of Free Fan.

And i also recognized that deal #1 is very often winnable, but not all (Malmaison, ...). And there are some very hard between (when i remember right, then e.g. Tarantula: Gregg needed 73 minutes).

The time it takes to solve a particular hand in a particular game is not always the best way to tell if the hand was difficult or not. Someone may have been knocking on the door and the player got up to answer. Or the tea pot boiled over. Or as in my case. I fall asleep. And the clock keeps ticking because we have forgotten to exit out of the game.

Yes Mike, I've racked up some scary times for many of those reasons.

I don't think I'd be very successful playing in the climb mode. First of all, I'm slow when I play, and I always have interruptions or have to stop playing because I have to go to the senior center or make myself a cup of tea, etc. Mostly, I think it's because I'm deliberate in my playing. I don't catch on as quickly as you guys.

There is a PAUSE feature, Kathy. The trick is just remembering to use it!

I did not know that, Ken. If PGS ever gets the climb mode, I'll remember that.
