Richard,

I just finished up # 1-99 (Sorry I was a little slow to join the party). Looking back over the old posts, I see you had 43 winners. My success rate was 44/99. If you have your stats for these still, I would be interested in comparing the winners. Also, I saw you achieved 61 on # 17, that would be intriguing to see, since I only recorded 43.

Thanks,

Larry

I have the nagging suspicion that #17 could be improved on and may actually be winnable.

Richard and Ken,

Thanks for the info. I have solved # 30 and # 64 not on your list, but I missed # 49 (as well as
Richard's new # 17). So that brings us up to
47/99. I'll get to work on the two I missed, and if you need any hints on the other two, just ask.

Forgot to include # 55 as solvable (that makes it 47/99).

Thanks Ken, #17 is a stinker. I persevered with it for ages before I found out how to beat it. Luckily I did save it, so if you or anyone else wants the solution you just need to say so.

Im still moving rather slow as is indicated by my times. I play on them a while if there is any indicated chance at a win...# 30 is winnable BTW.

Hi Ken,
I have #30 recorded as a win previously. Don't know how it wasn't included in the list I posted above. The two mauve ones were ones I didn't win first time through.

I scraped an extra point and got 45 a couple of times. There are just two cards that are spoiling my scores. I anyone has a score above 45 I'd be interested to see a "partial".

Perhaps if I stood on your head Ken?
My eyes are knocking together just now. I need to hit the sack very very soon.
An excellent effort, although your score can easily be increased to 62 by rearranging the diamonds. Will mess with it some more tomorrow,

Noted..holding till the second 8h and stacking the second 6 and 7 of hearths seemed the key but just a scoring ploy so far. i didnt really shoot much for a higher score just felt stuck since all the moves were very late.

I realized that Ken. I agree that the moves come too late, the damage with the hearts is already done and I doubt if it can be undone. I'm not finished with it yet but I think you may already have maxed it out.

Richard,

I'm having trouble opening your partial solution for # 34 (Forty Thieves 34.goodsol) (6.8 k). I am able to open your (Forty Thieves 17.pgs) (3.8 k). Not sure why the difference, although the file format may be important (size of file is larger in .goodsol versus .pgs).

Thanks,

Larry

Larry,
I had to play it in the 101 Collection as Ken had uploaded his partial from that product. I'll open it later and replay it in PGS.

Ken,

Three heads are definitely better than one (or two) as I also missed # 82 and 84. That would bring the solvable up to 49/99 by my count.

Richard,
No problem, resent.

Thanks Larry. Got it this time. In amongst Junk again. I unjunked it and it moved it back to my inbox. Then it wouldn't let me see the attachment as they had blocked it for my safety. I unblocked it and downloaded it. I'd to repeat the exercise as I could't figure out where they'd hidden the download the first time. There really is something seriously wrong with some IT programmers. Everything has to be made as complicated as possible. The spam merchants have had a lot to do with it no doubt.
I have a lot on my plate this week so PGS will have to take a back seat We are away on our travels again this weekend or perhaps monday. We'll see. I will have little time to update your list for some time, but I will return it to you thereafter. Thanks again.
