This looks like one for Richard. I can almost get it I think. You need to save one of those 7Ds. I got three open columns. But can't quite get the rest of the cards set up right.

The holiday was excellent Ken. We covered a LOT of Scotland from Nairn near Inverness, right down to Rothesay on the island of Bute. I achieved my main target of finding and photographing an old Campbell castle on Loch Awe, called Innis Chonnell. There is only one thumbnail photo online and it has a big copyright logo plastered over it. Now anyone who wants it can get it free.
Still getting nowhere with 170274081. Will persevere a while yet.

Maybe that will be you age before you solve it. Unless.....

I reached here and thought it was unwinnable. Then I had a bright idea and the rest of the cards just kept being playable. When the 10c went down into the space I knew that the next card, the 7S, wouldn't play. I decided to bring the 9,8,7,6,5S back down from the foundations. Now when the 10c went into the space the 5S,6S and 7S were playable and so was everything else behind it. See if this little trick is of any use to you.I've just uploaded a shrunken image. You can DL it and then enlarge on your PC.

Bing, you may have been impressed with my winning #1969073535, but it pales in comparison to your win of #109. My best score is 75. How do you get one of the five of spades out? They appear in the waste at 7, 14, and 23, and the first time I'm able to get a space (or even a 6 of spades) is when there are 37 cards in the waste, so all 3 5's are long buried!

I finally got a bowling ball and $hoe$ that fit because after that start, the rest was easy. I know I'm going to regret saying this, but any others?

See if there is one here I've not posted. I've not got the time at the moment to check myself. May look for some later tonight.

Yep, all of those were posted before. 1394600448 was definitely the hardest of the bunch. Did you win it twice just to make sure?

Just back from visiting. What fun I had.
Not easy to give clues and screenshots may be difficult to follow too. What else is there?

Other positions available if these don't help. At least these will show you what I refused to move.

Richard, I tried to send you some pictures of the flood in Iowa, and it came back and said my IP address was blacklisted. Was it something I said???

Thanks for that info Ken. Looks like I must have made a mistake whilst deleting old messages, or I may have intended to blacklist junkmail above or below yours. I'll whitelist it again now and will know that this has worked when I get a new message from you.

Ok, here's my question. It took me until 34 cards were in the waste to get a column free. You got a column free with only 18 cards in the waste. (Impressive!) But then you go on and keep playing until there are 29 cards in the waste. So I'm basically starting at the same postion (albeit with an extra space). It seems like I'm making the same moves over and over again. Do you try and free up more cards from the waste, or do you keep going, and the waste will eventually take care of itself?

Almost impossible to explain any tactics but here is my position soon after the last screenshot. I'm trying to unscramble the columns but sometimes refuse to move a playable card from the tableau onto the foundations if I can build downwards onto it in the tableau, even if that card is covering something else.

I hope this explains what I was talking about. I have consistantly refused to put the 10C up onto the foundations although it would just have been a case of moving a single card that was covering it into empty clumns. If I'd done so there would have been nowhere to put this one thats just shown up. Next I played spades back down into an empty column until I could play up spades from column 5. That's what broke it.

Richard, you're a friggin' genius. It makes me wonder how many games I gave up on too soon. So, I'm back worrying about "worrying back".

Congratulations Ken. I'm glad you got that one. I find that worrying back is a vital tool in Sixty Thieves. It makes it possible to manipulate and condense tableau cards. The ability to create a space virtually out of nothing can make all the difference between winning and losing.
I said on the 19th that I believed that I probably failed to solve several winnable games of this. There must be a point where you simply give up, otherwise it ceases to be enjoyment.

See if you can win 1570450560 with a wastte no higher than 12. Additional challenge is to score 18 without turning the first hidden card of the stock. Just a bit of fun. The game just didn't look that good.
