These theives have now Dunrobbin, which is where we'll be tomorrow. Quite an easy game Ken, but the decisive moves were made early on when you should take hearts back down into the tableau and put the others up. Try from here.
Position 20/32/18
LEAVE THE COLUMN EMPTY UNTIL HERE (Below)
Position 21/27/19
Now take the hearts back down from the foundations and put up the other hearts etc.

That was NOT the game I played last night for 45 minutes, so I obviously wrote down the # wrong. But what's really the problem is I can't find it now. It doesn't pull up as an unfinished game or a loss. I'M the one who needs to go on vacation!!!

I always copy and paste the numbers these days Ken. Less chance of making a mistake. I get a current one by clicking "Select game" where it will even be already highlighted for vacation starved people. Older games can be clicked in your stats until it comes up in the window.
I did wonder about the above game. You're not reknowned for posting soft ones.
Re the game going "missing", did you check that you'd not been playing it under another player name?

I was playing the "missing" game under one player name, and then went to another player name, and when I came back to the original player name, it was gone, and it pulled up a fresh game. I thought, "That's strange. Oh well, I posted the #." Has this ever happened to you where you "lost" a game?

It's happened but rarely. Always because of a power failure or the likes. I did think that the dual personality angle would be the most likely culprit. Does that make you schizophreniac?
Is it possible that you had PGS opened TWICE at the same time? I've done that, and I can see how that could cause a problem.

Richard. Haven't you gone yet? I can't find your house on Google Earth. I thought there would be a big X to mark the spot. Found the gold course though. Ken. Did you fall off your bike like the guy I saw at the Tour De France. that might have mixed you up. It did me when I just sort of fell off a few years ago.

No Mike, Liz was working today. We're leaving at 9am tomorrow. We could have left at an earlier hour but we're getting a little job done on the car whilst we're away, so we're relying on someone else to give us a lift.
I haven't had a look at Go-Ogle Earth yet. Will give it a bash next. I was surprised that neither of you pulled me up over the typo "theives" in an above post. I think it would be a spiel checker I'd need though.

It is a long standing email rule not to get to concerned over spelling. It my case it is a long sitting rule. My spelling is ok. It's my typing that gets in the way. And the fact that I am Cixelsyd.

Cixelsyd as opposed to drawkcab. Typos are often caused a bit like tongue twisters. Your brain and your fingers are working at different speeds.

It's winnable Ken. At position 3/32/25 I cleared column 9. I left it empty and accepted the 6H from the stock which allowed the 5H to move too. I played the QD into the space at position 3/29/26. Soon afterwards it was the 5S from column 1 which was played up.

Still having difficulty, I'm afraid. How does one access the 3H and 3S (both buried deep in the waste)?

Next position is 14/26/28. NOW reassemble the clubs and free the 4H. Put all the hearts up plus the AC. Immediately put the 2S up and rearrange the low diamonds into two columns to free the 3C. That should be at 28/26/28 and you have a small opportunity to get into the waste, but don't fill the empty column.

Richard, it's not like I don't appreciate the screen captures, but I had been able to get that far on my own last night. The problem as I see it is that I can't get out the 3H (6th position in the waste) or the 3S (13th position in the waste).

OK this is the next position after the above one after the written moves have been made.
Position 30/23/27

Once here the next 6 cards come back off the waste. No really akward moves until you get to the next screenshot.

You'll now have to do some worrying back with the spades and then the hearts. Then it's all plain sailing,(Hopefully).

I thought I might just have got confused with your uploaded partial.... but you practically had it. Just unwind a little until you have the 8S as the top card of the waste. Now take spades back down from king to four in one column. Then the other spades go up including the 8S from the waste.

It's winnable Ken, but OMG it's a cracker! I'd to do an enormous amount of worrying back so I'm not sure clues would be very helpful. I'll try some screenshots first and see if you can arrive at the critical point. Then we'll see what happens.
at 04/35/18
at 11/13/38
at 24/06/39
at 37/02/42
Now worry back from the 7D downwards. I'd rate this as the most interesting 30 Thieves we've played yet. This is when all the worrying back really starts. I'd to do it with at least two suits simultaneously to make way for the top cards from the waste.

What's your best score with this one Ken? I believe mine is 52 but spotted a card that I needn't have taken into the tableau so I'm going to reverse to that and see if I can remember all the moves that followed.
I had an idea about 1am this morning re the emails. There is aoftware problem. I know that Mike's name was on the "whitelist" but couldn't see it when I checked for yours, so I put it back on (or so I thought). When I checked both lists again today to see if your name appeared, Mike's was not there either.I'm working on it. I'll send you an alternative email address in the meantime. Glad you enyoyed it Ken. It was a good one all right. I decided to try the next consecutive one, 474773410. No joy as yet but I think it may be winnable.

It's winnable Ken. Try replaying it without taking the 2D right at the start.

Richard, it doesn't surprise me that you won it (you are the Miracle Man, after all) but how quickly you won it! Still can't get it! How much worrying back do I need to do? Do I do it all the way thru the game or just at the end?

That's an ugly game mate! I don't pay much attention to the scores but my last effort was as good as any of them I think and I just got 40. If you can improve on that could you post a partial?
Re worrying back, I invariably do it at every opportunity. After all, you are just condensing cards and getting potential obstacles out of the way. I don't think I've encountered a bad time to do it.
Mike's been quiet. Maybe in the dog house over a new doberman.
Have you emailed me since yesterday?

FINALLY, a game that I didn't think was winnable that actually wasn't!

Yep, I've e-mailed you and it came back, so from now on any good e-mails I'll just send to Mike and he can forward them on.

I'll give it a bit more time but I think it's a lost cause.
Can't understand the email fiasco. I contacted the spam people and they say it is an IP problem. I went to Tiscali and saw no obstacles, and I posted the Outlook Express screenshot above. Could it be YOUR IP who has an old block on it?
elizabethmcdowell36@yahoo.com SHOULD work but I've not used it and don't know what file sizes it will accept. You'll be its only user anyway.

Mike has been to busy playing good husband and father to fiddle around with you lot. And I have been watching the Olympics. I missed the end of the two cycling events Ken. I was surprised there were not more crack ups in the rain though.

"FIDDLE AROUND!" To paraphrase Bill Shankly "Some people believe PGS is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."
Do me a favour Mike...send me an email. I'm hardly getting anything through. Either the world and its dog has stopped speaking to me, or my email facility has been accessed and sabotaged by someone.

How many consecutive number runs have you had? This was just a case of typing in a number and seeing what turned up, and then playing either side of it. Try it and let's see if we can improve on 4.

Re runs: I just won #543208, so since I won #'s 543209-543212, that means I've now got 5 in a row, right?

Well done Ken! I must have tried the numbers at either end of he run. Couldn't have tried hard enough. It WAS very late. (note the date change).
Another set from today. 161244,5,6 and 7. Need a break before I attempt either end.
The email thing is bugging me and I don't seem to be getting much help from the so-called "help" options.
Have you tried any of the TI's I posted recently? Seemed to be a very bad group.
