OK--is this game winnable at all? This is the most frustrating new game I have encountered in a long time.

Thanks, Paul--I'll try that number. But I still have my doubts.

Hi Maria

right click on it and click save target as and save it to the desktop.

then open pretty good solitaire and play the jack in a box game. click game and select open game
change the Look in to desktop and you will see the file you have downloaded.
click open and the game will automatically play to the position I left it at.
you can see how the moves worked out by keep on clicking undo (many times) until you get to the beginning and then you can keep pressing the redo to go through all the moves. if you play a move any other way you will loose the rest of the moves

regards Paul

I've had numerous scores in the high fifties but if I've made it past sixty I didn't notice. If anyone has a "partial" of 60+ I'd appreciate a look at it. I'm not convinced this game is winnable though.

OK I know 61 is possible now, and I can see how I should be able to get 68. After that, who knows?

I think I'm going to abandon this one Ken. Every new ploy I've tried ends up in much the same way. I doubt if it's winnable. The three consecutive black tens are a huge obstacle. What is your best score?

There is definitely something wrong with me. I just HAD to have another go. Now I'm going to have to see if I can improve on this too!

Have you managed to win this one yet Ken? I could post an early "partial" to help you one you way.

Jacks in the box is a good game. It would be an interesting challenge to see how far we could get with a 100% win rate playing it in Climb Mode. Games 1-15 are certainly winnable. Will be trying 16+ later.

Games 1-18 are winnable. 18 is difficult/very difficult. See if this one spoils your 100% record Ken.

On 15.....that's good. You will come across a stubborn one now and again, it would be pointless otherwise. I'm having a heck of a battle with #39. I've won all the lower numbers. I'd played quite a few previously so I'm just going back and trying to win the ones I'd failed to win initially.

I've not played many recently Ken. The first 55 are winnable though.

I agree with that Ken. There are very few REALLY difficult ones, and once you have a technique for playing the game, it just becomes a procession. I'm messing with Freecell (hard) in the 101 collection now.
