Its me again with a Sea towers problem, which seems a little bit like sea towers 45. My best score in 167 so long is 3. Waiting for opinions.

I can match all of your scores with your Sea Towers games Markus. I cannot improve on any of them. I will keep trying but I don't think I have overlooked anything better.

I tried some more minutes, but 3 is still the best. For me it is unwinnable with maximum score 3.

Did you try Seatowers hard number 9? what is your best score?

"I can MATCH all of your scores with your Sea Towers games Markus. I cannot IMPROVE on any of them".(Match means equal, in case you did not understand me). Therefore my best score with #9 is 5.
In my opinion none of your games are winnable. It is not even possible to improve on any of your/my scores . We should concede defeat Markus and move on.
What nationality are you?

We met a very nice German couple during our last holiday. We had quite a few drinks together in a bar in Helmsdale called the Bannockburn.
Friends of ours have been employing Latvians and Estonians at their farm. None of them seem to like their own countries very much.

This may be difficult Markus. I will try to upload #134 using the 101 Collection. It uses .goodsol which Gregg says you are using. We will try this first. I will upload it soon to this thread.

Here is #134 solution using a different program.
mac/unknown
Sea Towers_134_Markus.goodsol (1.3 k)
Try to download it and make sure you still have the .goodsol extension. Rename it if necessary. Download it to your Desktop. Now open your Mac version of Solitaire. Click on Sea Towers so that you have cards on your screen. It does not matter which game it is. Now click on "Game" and then "Open game". Point to the downloaded game on your desktop and click on "Open game".

Good luck. Let me know if this works.

Hi Richard,

its interesting. I tried this exactly this way you explained, and it didn't work. This time, it works. Very interesting. Ok, last time, i tried it with an .PGS file. Can you post one with .pgs, so that i can see, if it now works also?

Markus

P.s.: How much can you score at eight off 1872?

Your Penguin was quite easy Markus. Maybe I just saw the best route first time.
This was played on P.G.S/, the other one was played on the 101 program.

Ok, than i will try it, so long, till i will get it without using your solution.
The Peguin game, which in my opinion was a little bit difficult was 2218.
1872 is of course easy.

How long did the eight off take to you?

OK, but when i cannot solv another one and you can, so give first just the information, that it is winnable. I hope i can crack it than by myself, as i did with eight off 1872. Thats much more interesting than looking how it works.

Richard, you've got me. It seems that the 8H is what is stopping me from going any further. I've tried every combination, but if I put up the 10D and 6C into the cells, I have no where to put the 8H which leaves me unable to play the 2D.

If you get to the above position, the 10D and the 6C go up and all your cells are full. But the 6H now goes onto the 7H and all the hearts up to the 8 will now go onto the foundations. This frees the diamonds which also go up.

Richard, can my game be different from yours?
when the 6C and the 10D are in the cells, I placed the 6H on the 7H, and all I got out of that was thee 1H and the 2H, and then no more plays possible. I think I'm getting too frustrated and tired. I'm going to take a nap. Let me know if you can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Richard, i had to try it once more before shutting down my Mac and i got it also. It seems even very easy. Did it within 2 minutes.

Hi Kathy, can you get exactly my three pictures? The first is after my starting sequence. The second is i think 4 cards played and the third another 3 or 4 cards. When you got the same pictures as posted and you AutoPlay on, than you just have to put the 6D up and that should it be. If not, then post a picture of your starting "formation".

Glad to help Kathy. Sometimes we fail to spot a vital move. We've all done it, and we'll all do it again. Welcome to the human race.

I think that we have more Hares than we have Tortoises Markus. I have no problem with losing as long as it is not all of the time.

Sea Towers is the easier version of Sea Towers Hard. The latter one has the Kings Only option for empty columns.
