Happy birthday, Ken. Are you with some of us senior citizens or do you have a way to go yet?

BTW, it looks like just you and me in the forum right now, Mike, and I'm trying to find a game that will challenge me but haven't yet.

On his birthday...............
10/03/1920 - First NFL game

On this day in 1920, the first ever NFL game took place, as the Dayton Triangles defeated the Columbus Panhandles, 14-0. Louis Partlow scores the league's first touchdown and George "Hobby" Kinderine connects on the first extra points. Later in the day, the Rock Island Independents crushed the Muncie Flyers, 45-0.

Thanks all for the Birthday wishes. It is so unexpected. You get to be bright and cheerful at my age by. Avoiding people as much as possible and always having your glass empty. That way you don't have to spend a lot of time worrying if it is half full or half empty. And nice cakes. I deserve them.

I have a baby picture of myself with WGH. I actually paid little attention to the Ryder Cup this time. I guess it was the time difference. And the fact that I knew we would get beat. I did like the few shots of the golf course and the surrounding area of Wales.

It did turn out much closer than I thought. It would have almost been worth it to stay up all night and watch. I had planned to play golf this morning before I take Michael to school at 12:15. But when I got to the golf course I was feeling dizzy. So I came home. I have been having dizzy spells for the last week. Going to the doctors on Wednesday. I have a tournament on Thursday so I hope to get it under control.

Standing up too quickly is a common cause Mike. Arteries fuzzing up over the years restrict blood flow to the brain. I'm sure the doc will fix you up pdq.

Mike, it's possible you might have an inner ear infection. That can make you dizzy. It could also be your blood pressure (high or low). Let us know what the doctor says. I am worried about you.

I have always had trouble with my middle ear. Motion sickness comes easy. I have had severe dizzy spells in the past. And not from drinking to much. The room spins and I get sick. But this time is a little different. We will see. I can be lying perfectly motionless and things will start whirling. Very uncomfortable.

I have had that feeling of lying down and the room spinning. It's a scary feeling. Mine was due to stress when my mother was dying and other stressful times in my life. Let's hope that's all it is.

Tiddly Winks was invented in Scotland. Instead of little disks. The used to flip the ears of the vanquished into flagons of whisky. Those rascally Scotsmen.

This should really go under the trivia topic, but speaking of flagons, does anyone remember from what movie came these immortal words: "The poison is in the FLAGON with the dragon; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true."

(My favorite Danny Kaye movie is Hans Christian Andersen. I LOVE the songs, e.g. "Inchworm, Inchworm, measuring the molecules,,", "Thumbelina dance, Thumbelina sing", etc.)

The Court Jester is my favorite. Remember, "what did the doge do to the duke?" Or something like that. I also love Hans Christian Anderson. Inchworm is also my favorite song from the movie. Ken and Kathy. That sounds like two new Barbie Dolls. I guess I have replaced Barbie. Not bad, huh?

BTW, loved the video. How did I miss that British comedy? I thought I've seen them all. Also, I'm still laughing over John Cleese and the stoning episode.

Here is another John Cleese clip you will enjoy. It cracks me up anyway.

Ken, you are 10 years younger than I am. Believe me, you're not old. There are people at the senior center I go to in their 90's who function better than I do. I think how a person handles aging is a combination of thinking young and just pure luck.
