Are any other forum members / Goodsol newsletter subscribers receiving unsolicited mail at their Goodsol address?

Regards,

Jeff

The address you use for this forum is not used for anything.

Note that there is a new virus that has become *very* common this week that is sending vast quantities of email. If your email address exists anywhere on someone's address book who is infected, you may be receiving virus emails from the infected machine. We have been receiving a lot of these (literally thousands) from infected customers machines who have our address in their address book. This virus exploits a hole in Microsoft's Outlook Express (which we do not use, because of all of its problems).

So if your address is known to someone who is using Outlook Express, it may be coming from that.

Thomas,

Thanks for your response. The issue for me is now several months old so it is not due to the recent events. I'm certainly not accusing Goodsol of passing on my address.

It must have got on to a list somehow and I just wondered if there where any other users with the issue.

It doesn't really matter as I use a personal domain and have changed the address. Any email to the old address now finishes up in my spam filter.

Thanks and regards,

Jeff
