>anyone want a forum to discuss what else they do while playing solitaire?

This question was suggestion in earlier thread, it deserves a thread of its own. Often people play solitaire while doing other things, so what else do you do while you are playing solitaire?

I sometimes play while I'm web surfing, playing a game while I wait for a web page to come up.

I play solitaire (or Pretty Good MahJongg) while listening to the news on National Public Radio in the evening.

I also sometimes play while eating on those days when a meal is delivered to my desk. (I can eat with my left hand, but it is hard to use my keyboard with a plate in the way.)

I am a Univ of Iowa alum living in Florida. I play PGS 500 while I listen to Hawkeye football (too bad about the Orange Bowl!!) and basketball games on the Internet.

Listening to tv-programs. But mostly just thinking about problems to solve from my work or my studies. Or, when I play on vacation in our RV, watching the scenery, seeing the tide rise, watching the sunset. Wow, I am looking forward to that.

I watch tv sometimes and sometimes I watch ships go through the Panama Canal on my laptop while I play PGS on my husband's laptop.

Never played a game that took up so much of my sleep-time, so how come it does work for you as a sleeping aid?

Waking up in the morning with my good ol cup of coffee and one eye open I try to get my brain to start focusing for the day. At the end of the day after kids are in bed, I play while listening to my music or news.

Klondike is one of the eaiser games, so I don't need to think while playing :-) After about 15 or 20 games (20-30 minutes) I can hardly keep my eyes open. As long as I go right to bed then I can usually get to sleep. It's gotta be better than sleeping pills!

I have 1946/4 on my first player ID and just started with a new name this year, 242/0 so far.

I play Patience's Reward while installing new computers. There is so much "dead" time waiting for programs to install, then rebooting. I find playing makes the wait time go more quickly and keeps me from becoming "fidgety."

everyone has their own opinions on what is easy and what is hard. my mother has a college degree in early childhood education and is currently a teacher's assistant at a middle school and SHE finds the 8th grade math difficult.

Playing solitaires is one of my biggest pleasures.
It's like meditation for me and I am trying to be in HERE and NOW. "Absorption is Happiness" - this is my credo.

I start playing as soon as my husband turns the TV on to "American HotRod Chopper" or "Classic Tractor Calendar" ...and while I'm playing I just say "uh huh, uh-huh" whenever he says stuff like "Wow, honey, look at that!".

I play goodsol while I'm procrastinating.

Uhhhh... and it's pretty permanent in my tray, too. If you were thinking about hiring me, pretend you didn't see this.<g>
