The Kids Card Set features cartoon like images on the cards. This is a particularly good card set, so try it out! The Kids Card set can be downloaded from <http://www.goodsol.com/pgs/cardsets.html>. The Kids Card Set is for Pretty Good Solitaire version 8 or higher, FreeCell Wizard version 3 or higher, Spider Wizard version 2, or Action Solitaire. Reduced Office Hours for August ------------------------------- Goodsol Development is still operating under special circumstances for August. Anne had an operation in late July. The operation went well, but recovery will be slow and she will not be able to work regularly for awhile yet. This means that the response times for email order questions, support problems, and registration code requests will continue to be longer than usual. Orders will be processed as usual. Thanks for your patience! Featured Game - Mumbai ------------------------ Mumbai is a 3 deck version of the game Indian Patience. At the start of the game, three cards are dealt out to 13 tableau piles. The bottom card of the three is face down. There are 12 foundation piles. The object is to found the Aces and build the foundation piles up in suit from Ace to King. The game is won when all the cards are moved to the foundations. The remainder of the cards form a stock and are turned over one card at a time to a waste pile. The top card of the waste is available for play. There are no redeals. The top card of each tableau pile is available for play. Building in the tableau is down by any suit but the same. Only one card at a time may be moved. When a face down card is exposed in the tableau, the card is turned face up and becomes a "protected" card. Protected cards may only be moved to a foundation pile and no cards may be played upon them. When a protected card is moved to a foundation, the empty space will be filled from the stock with one face down card and two more face up (for as long as the stock contains the cards to do so). Protected cards remain protected until the stock is empty, then they become available for play on other tableau piles, and other cards may be played upon them. After the stock is empty, spaces may be filled by any card. Because of the protected cards, you need to avoid creating too many tableau piles where there is a single remaining protected card of high rank. These cards can be moved only when a play to the foundations develops. Lower ranked protected cards are likely play up to the foundations faster. Mumbai is the 600 games in Pretty Good Solitaire, which can be downloaded from <http://www.goodsol.com/download.html>. --------------------------------------- Thomas Warfield - Software Designer - support@goodsol.com Anne Warfield - Order Fulfilment - orders@goodsol.com ©2004 Goodsol Development Inc.
