    Richard, Richard, quite contrary
    How does your garden grow?
  • Member, Beta Tester
    Kenneth,Kenneth. your two-penneth.
Now that you ask, it's no mean task.
A lot of work I've undertaken.
No matter now my back is breakin.

I've erected a wall about seven metres log with buttresses on the insides secured by ground stakes.. I'm not in the process of infilling behind it to bring it up the the same height as a large area behind that. Then the real work will begin constructing raised beds over the whole area. After that I'll only have to repeat the process with the other 50% of the garden. I'll email you a photo or two when there is something more worthwhile seeing.

It sounds more tiring than a 100K bike ride!
  • Member, Beta Tester
More than a marathon then Ken? :)

Richard, how often do you eat/make the Cock-a-Leekie soup?
  • Member, Beta Tester
Haven't eaten or made it for ages Ken despite the fact that it's one of my favourite soups. My mother used to made excellent ones. There are many variations on it as you'd expect, but she never used prunes at all. It was invariably made with whatever scraps of bacon, ham and chicken were available. She never added wine, and just used whatever herbs she had. Tatties were added to practically every soup she made.

I don't know whether Markus should be flattered or I should be insulted that you mistook him for me!
  • Member, Beta Tester
Markus/Ken? Ken/Markus? What difference does it make?
  • Member, Beta Tester
I agree, the typing all looks the same

Ha! I am so used to you asking me questions Ken, that I completely overlooked who had posted the question. :\"> Apologies to you and Markus. I hope to see more posts from both of you. You too Marty. What's that other guy's name again? He who's under the thumb. Him too anyway. :)

Boy it "sure do" get quiet around here sometimes
  • edited April 2015 Member, Beta Tester
Change the first vowel in "Boy it" to an "u" Marty, then you'd have a pretty good chance of having more to talk about. That's my solitairey suggestion. :)

Well you and I can have a priveteconversation, I bet someone will have to put their 2 cents worth in then
  • Member, Beta Tester
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. :)

And a stone flies from the back of the crowd hitting and killing the prostitute, and then Jesus says, "Oh mom, you always spoil all my fun!"
  • Member, Beta Tester
    Mary being contrary then.
  • Member, Beta Tester
    Quite!
  • Member, Beta Tester
so you see how easy it was to get the conversation going
  • Member, Beta Tester
So we had a conversation about the fact that there was a lack of conversation. :) Isn't that Facebook's speciality? :)) I deeply regret enrolling in that recently. It just appears to be an endless stream of pretentious self-indulgent drivel. There is even a culture of blackmail there. I resent being told that I have to like and share garbage that people have posted because failure to do so would result in the poster "knowing who his/her real friends are". It sucks.

There are indeed some people on Facebook who think we care about everything they are doing in their lives. And showing us that they are like a certain animal, wind, fruit or planet. Just because they took part in some interesting (to them) personality quiz. And don't forget the ads! It's Social Media at it's finest.
  • Member, Beta Tester
AAre you suggesting that we're anti-Social Mike? =))
  • Member, Beta Tester
    I know I am!
  • Member, Beta Tester
    Me too
  • Member, Beta Tester
That explains, why it is so quite here in a social forum. :))
