Is #7 winnable? As you can see, I'm trying out new games. There are 93 people with a score of 100% which is why I want to make sure whether it is winnable or not.

There are so many ways in which you can move cards around that it is easy to overlook some. Perhaps you should run through this solution in case you've not sussed all of them out.

What does "sussed" all of them out mean? Is that a Scottish word?

BTW, I solved it without your solution. I guess I must have sussed all of them out.

I use words on a day to day basis without necessarily knowing if they are Scottish or not. I had no idea where "sussed" originated, so I looked it up. Sonds fairly international. Ry Cooder! I used to have some LP's of his. I love hearing him on guitar.

I went to the pub yesterday. First time in 8 days! The barmaid was having a problem with the coffee machine. I wonder what you would have made of the advice she was given from one of the regulars, "Just gie it a shoogle". (Give it a shake).

Who is Ry Cooder? I also never heard of Lucia van der Post. Is she related to Emily Post?

Ry Cooder? You've never heard of him! Born in California in 1947. Singer, composer, musician, most famous for his fabulous "slide guitar". You can hear his work on quite a few film sound tracks. Rated as the 8th best guitarist of all time.
I'm not that familiar with Lucia. (enter your own joke here). She was the daughter of Laurens van der Post. He had more offspring and gave them weird names. He called one son Racing and another daughter Sunday. Don't tell me you've not heard of Sunday Post.

You've given me a lesson in humility. I thought I knew at least a little about everything and everyone, but neither Ry Cooder or the Post family rings a bell.

Not everybody's cup of tea Kathy. I've always been a fan of the great guitarists. Chuck Berry is right up there btw. You've heard of him.
As for the Post family. I'd barely heard of the father. His daughter is unknown to me. As for the other kids...... try Googling Sunday Post and Racing Post.

I'm not a great fan of guitarists unless they're in a band. Chuck Berry is good, but I tend to think of him as more of a rock-and-roll singer. I prefer the piano, although I have to admit Charlie Daniels plays a "mean fiddle".

Almost all guitarists (with the exception of classical guitarists) are in a band Kathy. They're instrumental. Ha.
Gatemouth Brown didn't feature in the top 100 Mike. I guess they didn't ask any of your contemporaries from the Jurassic period.

Mark Knopfler was voted #27. I particularly like his guitar solo in Sultans of Swing.
Sorry Kathy but Chet Atkins didn't make it onto the list. Neither did one of my favourites, Jeff Beck. I suppose it just depended who voted (or perhaps who fiddled the count?).

What list are you talking about? I have no idea who Mark Knopfler or Gatemouth Brown are. As for the term "guitarist". To me that would indicate someone whose main talent was his guitar playing. Most singers are famous for their singing and just accompany themselves on the guitar, i.e., Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, etc. What I remember about Chet Atkins was his guitar playing first. I don't even remember if he sang or not.

Chet Atkins was a fabulous guitar player. He played of course as Kathy I know in the country/western field. But he could play anything. As a guitar player myself. I think he is one of the best. Richard's list is I think a rock and roll list with some blues players (not Gatemouth) on it. I would think BB King would be there. Jango Reinhardt should be there but might not be.

For the blues players, how about Miles Davis?

Here is the list I am referring to Kathy.
http://www.theinsider.com/news/316579_Rolling_Ston e_s_The_100_Greatest_Guitarists_of_All_Time_Do_you _agree
You will notice that they are not all rock n roll guitarists.
Of course B.B.King is there Mike. At #3 no less. Stevie Ray Vaughan isn't far behind. Many of them are lead singers who also happen to be great guitarists.

It's just dawned on me that Hank Marvin of the Shadows is not listed. One of the best guitarists of all time. The list sucks.
