Hi Carolyn,
I can get three aces out with a score of six, and four cells still empty, but I need five empty in order to make any dramatic difference. Will try again later.
See if anyone can get any inspiration from this upload.

Carolyn. Check out my attempt to describe the copy and paste method we use. It is in the "Freecell" part of the forum. It is dated June 27, 2007. shout out if you need more help.

Hi Carolyn, Ken was right when he said "Uh, oh, don't get Richard going!". I've spent an incredible amount of time trying to help players to get over this hurdle.
You clicked open the file correctly as you've typed out the contents . The only bit that you missed out is the important bit. It will appear in your address bar when you open the file. In this instance it was......
../18/Eight_Off _1210154523_six_scored-3592.unk
(Everything else you saw is of no use to you).

Open the file again and see if you can see it.Up top in your browser.
Then left click on it to highlight it, followed by a right click on it and select "copy".
Close this forum, but you must stay online.

Now just pretend you wanted to play a game of "Eight Off". You do this every other day, so do so as normal. You will now see the last game of Eight Off that you were playing, with the cards dealt out on your screen, At this point you would normally just start playing, but not today.
Look up to the top left of your screen. Just above the "undo" button you will see "Game" written.(Plus Options, Internet and Help).
Click where it say "Game", and you will get a drop-down menu. On that you select "Open game".
A new window will open and you will see the cursor flashing in the empty box to the right of where it says "File name". It's here that you have to paste the internet info that you copied earlier. You right click in that box and select "Paste".
All you have to do now is click where it says "Open", and the online game will run. Let it do it's business first and it will run to where the person who uploaded it left it.
You can now go back up to the top left of your screen, click on "Game" followed by "Save as" in the menu that appears. You will now have a copy on your own PC. You can access it any time you want when you've playing Eight Off,(whether you're online or not). Top left again, click on "Game" followed by "Open Game". This time you will see it listed in the main box that appears. Just highlight it and click where it says "Open".
Hope you can manage this OK. If not just ask again, and we'll persist until you can. Don't worry about messing up your PC. All of this is completely harmless and will have no effect whatsoever if you don't do it correctly. Have a few tries at it.
