I've taken a liking to Batsford recently. Some game numbers can be more than a handful. Of these 1515021568 gave me the most trouble.

The last three were easy, but on the first one my best score so far is 25. Any suggestions?

Sorry Ken. We had to go shopping. I just love shopping!! Hard to give clues so it's more screen shots I'm afraid.

It's a good game and has the added attraction of having a different name at the top of the table.

Watch out Mike! Ken knows that I posted the wrong set of pics, because I sent him the correct ones by email. Maybe he's not just pulling your leg.
These are correct shots from that game.

If/when you finish with this one, try #1. It's drivng ME nuts.

Well done Ken, I won't pollute your mind with clues for #1 but I can give you the locations of every card in the tableau if that helps.

OK, where is the 2nd A of Spades, 2nd A of hearts, and 2nd 4 of diamonds?

2nd Ace of Spades is 5th from top in 2nd last column. 2nd Ace of Hearts is the 2nd top card in last column. Both fours of Diamonds are in the stock, 1 and 7.

I'm going to lie to you here. I'm going to tell you how easy #328163041 was.I'm not going to make any politically incorrect remarks about invading Poland because of the result last night. I didn't even know who'd won until you told me. Incidentally I just Googled it to make sure you weren't pulling my chain.
It's just occured to me how ill advised Go-ogle is!

WOW!!!!
And I thought Sixty Thieves was hard!
There were so many obvious plays that you DIDN'T
make in order to win this game!
That's why you are the master.
Maybe I should try another game for my next 50.
While I'm contemplating that possibility, try #1483332864.

It's usually just a case of trial and error until I find a way of bringing a particular card into play. If you look at what you have left when all the cards have been played you can often identify what are causing the worst obstructions. I played 328163041 a large number of times before I found the winning combination. I was getting close to giving up.
#1483332864 gave me fewer problems, but I'd never class a Batsford as easy. You did well Grasshopper.

I suppose I'd better try a few! Been out all day and I'm still spitting feathers. Going to have to wait until I cool down before I type out my letter of complaint. Will email you and Mike a copy. Thomas would have a blue fit if I let off the steam now.

801981952 and 2000 have given me reason to change my mind about easy Batfords.

Most games the goal is "How many cards can I get up to the tableau", and each card you put up there, you feel a little bit of satisfaction, but in Batsford, it seems like the only way to victory is "How many cards can I resist playing up to the tableau" and building the foundation instead. 2000 was especially like that.

We all see games differently. Sometimes VERY dfferently. I suspect that's why we're addicted.

Maybe the reason you're puzzled is that I switched around the terms tableau and foundations in my post. Ooops! (I need to take a nap!)

You need a nap? I'd to check to see that it wasn't Mike who'd just posted that.I knew you'd mixed the terms up Ken, the point was that at no time did I have more that 7 in the waste. The game just romped out.
Any thought for your next 50 yet? I don't mind as long as it's fairly difficult and has a reasonably high skill rating. Not keen if there is a high luck factor.

Blood pressure was in no danger today. We went castle-baggng and got some pics of four local ones. When I post them online I'm going to include a photo or two of the signs telling you to keep out, just to rub salt in the wound and increase someone else's BP. To be fair, they are perfectly welcome to come and take pics of my house.
Going to try some 40 thieves now.
