Hello,

i found a mistake in Vertical #85. There are two Jacks in the middle row, which, when i am remember right, should not be.

This is a bug in Goodsol Solitaire 101 and Pretty Good Solitaire Mac Edition. We'll be fixing it for the next version (which in the case of Pretty Good Solitaire Mac Edition, the next version is coming very soon).

I've spotted a Double Sea Towers amongst them Markus. Gregg has posted a stat for it. Could be fun.

Sorry Richard, i did not understand right, because i translated some words wrongly. Now it is all clear. Thanks to Babelfish for the help. I know it allready, because i tried it with my PC-test-version.
I am sure, i will play some of them.
Did you go on with Aquaintance or have you stopped with #291. Sorry, that i am in the stats before you (stand #291). I clicked the wrong button. Before i posted my last stat with #290.
By the way, #292 seems a very interesting game, when i remember right.

Do not worry Markus, I know that translations are not always accurate. Your messages are pretty good, and we understand what you are saying.
I have not played Acquaintance for a long time. I looked a few minutes ago and then posted my stats. Did you win #292?
We are going away for a week, starting tomorrow. I hope you have some difficult games for me to try when I return home.

I tried a little bit, but so long i did not get #292. It is so long the hardest one. The 2s are on bad places.
Before Xmas i did not have much time. Corrections, birthday, i get tomorrow a new fireplace, so i have working man at home, ...

but you can be sure, that i don't forget you and hope, when i try one, there is also one for you.

How about my Verticals. Are only 2 of them winnable? I thought it must be more. And the normal ST?

Hi Richard, back again.

I agree.

When i tried it the first time (about 1 to 2 minutes) it seemed to be difficult. Then you asked for it, so i thougt, it is really difficult, but, as i did try it, i came out very quickly. And as i posted my threat, i thougt, you didn't get it so long, but after that, i saw, that you have done it, but it was already posted.

I must tell you, that i don't find so long really hard ones for you. There had been some ST, but not really mind braking ones. Sorry.

The TV was rarely on for the whole week. The nearest cinema would have been about 25 miles away in Edinburgh. Apart from the huge problem of finding a place to park we would have had snow covered roads to contend with in that area. So no Ken we didn't see Avatar when we were away. We contented ourselves with sitting beside the pub's roaring fire and forcing down copious quantities of beers. It's a hard life. We did buy some baby clothes for one of the regulars who'd just given birth though. The baby is called Ava. Does that count?
And you are correct Mike, we don't have movies in Scotland, we have "films". Is movies a shortened version of "moving picture show"? It sounds like you guys have just discovered something new.
You have confused me Markus. When did I ask about Acquaintance #292?
We have had quite a lot of snow in the UK recently. Temperatures of minus 16 have been recorded in some parts, but the lowest the car thermometer recorded during the day was only minus 4. Most of the bigger roads were pretty clear but smaller ones were quite hazardous. Our own local area is pretty bad. We don't really have to venture outdoors so it is not a huge problem.

Yep! It's a hard life all right.

And BTW Richard, don't you use kilometers in Scotland or were you just being polite to your stateside friends (and I use that term loosely)?

What's a kilometre?

Which word were you using loosely, "polite" or "friends"?

Will investigate Avatar a bit later. Impressed by the animations and graphics of the trailer. If it had been a poor one is that what you guys call trailer trash?

Films/Movies. I made my point. They are just getting Gone With The Wind in Scotland. That was a great film. Avatar is a movie. Richard will see it on the tele when it is shown somewhere. I suppose when it comes out on DVD I could transfer it to video tape for him.
I don't go to movie theaters. All those people make me nervous. I wait until I can watch at home. Richard knows I have no idea about the metric system. And he is clever enough to be able to use both. So he does it for the metrically handicapped of us.

I thought that it was you who was having trouble with it, and you thought that it was me. No problem anyway

Five Piles #161 (Best score so long 50)

For both i had not time to try till the end.

Hi Paul, i thougt so and got it out today very quickly. At the beginning you have to let the 8 and the 5 and after that, it is easy.

Merry Christmas.

it is winnable

trick I found was not to match the 8 and 5 on the first 5 cards as I found
the other 8 and 5 covered each other up much later in the game in column 2
so you use these cards to unblock them and I did not find any problems with the J
and 2
first moves I made were 6 an 7 , J 2 on 2nd deal 4 9 and K on third deal

I'd say it is unwinnable. I've tried everything possible to leave another two in the tableau to solve the jack/two problem in column one.
