I don't know. Markus has a 99.9 percentage rate with only 3 losses with 2500 games played. I have a 100% rate with fewer games played before I messed up my game. But it is hard. One of Markus's hands was a winner even though it is recorded as a loss. I don't know about his other 2 losses.

I guess I'm not used to the juggling of the cards around. Sometimes you have to try numerous plays before you get anywhere. I see a lot of 100% scores, so it can't be that hard. Maybe I'll get used to it. How do you not come across a game that isn't winnable once in a while and still keep a top score. Is it just luck?

The hands I was talking about were played in climb mode. So we know the first 2500 were winnable. Then Markus went on to find more. But eventually he did hit two which he could not win. As I said. I don't know which ones they were. I liked Eight Off. But I was not going to start over after I lost my stats. Remember to BACK UP your games.

Mike, what is the best way to back up my games? Right now, I don't have any blank CD's I could use. Is there another way?

That's one way. Then there are some internet services that let you back up a certain amount of information for no charge. The other way is the way I do it. I have a external hard drive. I back up my files there. But that costs money. I will look for internet back up sites for you.

Oh! I forgot. For a simple idea. Which will work until your hard drive actually blows up. That's a joke. Sort of. You can back up to your hard drive. Go to "Start". Then to "All Programs". Then to "Accessories". Then to "System Tools". You should see an option for "Back Up". Click that and follow the directions. You can also go to "System Restore" from the same place. That will let you put a restore point where if something happens you can restore to that point. I know it sounds a bit complicated. It is for me. But attack it slowly and at least you will have a little protection.

There are a number of free online backup services. They will store a small amount of stuff. Which would include PGS files. Do a search for "Free file backup". It might pay to use a couple of them. As sometimes they go out of business without telling you. Have fun.

Mike, there has been one game, where me and Richard didn't find a solution. So, i gave him a loss. After that i played it again, and could win it very easily.
The 2 games i could not win are #1842 and #2196. The game, which is recommended (?) as a loss but winnable is #2261.
I would say, that Eight Off is with a high percentage winnable. I stopped playing after 2500 games as i did with Penguin. The next game, where i maybe sometimes will have played 2500 times will be maybe SeaTowers.
Any other questions?
So, Kathy, play Eight Off and you can be sure, that i will mostly can help you, if you need help.

Thanks guys. Now that I know the first 2500 games are winnable, I feel more comfortable knowing that I don't have to lose a game. I've never scored high game stats, and that would be fun. BTW, I like your idea of using my hard drive to back up the PGS files, but I have a 15-year-old computer.
Do you think it can take it?

Sure they are just data files. They use no resources. If, however you crash your hard drive you lose both. If you have two hard drives put the back-up on the second.
