I have played over 500 games and have lost every one! Do I have to build the down sequences on the right side of the screen. Can the last four slots be used during the game? Any hints? Esther

The 4 right most foundation piles are not built a card at a time as in most games. You build entire 13 card sequences in the tableau, then move the entire sequence up to the foundations at once (as in Spider type games). So 4 piles are built one card at a time and 4 piles are built as 13 card sequences.

You should be able to win 15-20% of the time on average.

I win almost 60% of Rouge et Noir games--that is, I finally hit 60, but then it slipped back to about 59.5. I think it may still be rising. Some of the deals take many attempts. So it sounds to me as if you are missing something in the rules.

Richard, did you win the first game in 101. Maybe I missed something but it took me forever?

Yes Ken,I did win it. According to my stats it took me 42 minutes, but I have a habit of making tea etc and leaving the clock running. On the other hand it may have taken me all of that time without goofing off. I don't remember.

In case anyone else is interested, these other games are winnable.
